Management and ownership may dismissively refuse requests from individual tenants, and even from the Los Angeles County government, but collectively, we will DEMAND fair treatment and resolution of the DIRE AND UNACCEPATABLE building issues.









In an act of probable retaliation against a tenant, management has moved free snacks and sodas to a staff-only closet, from which they can distribute them only to their favored tenants.

Building management, meaning Avenue5 Residential, and our terrible owners, Grubb Properties (we're looking at you, Mr. Grubby Grubb) decided to wish tenants a happy early weekend, this Friday, WITH A SERIES OF THREATS!
That's right, if the crackhead sleeping in the elevator lobby wasn't enough, NOW MANAGEMENT WANTS TO THREATEN RESIDENTS with towing THEIR CARS!
And management even went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make it clear that if you're STUFF IS BROKEN OR STOLEN when they TOW YOUR CAR it's not their fault and they're not responsible!
Unbelievable!!!!
This comes after a previous, FAILED, parking audit, during which management demanded our VIN NUMBERS, LICENSE PLATES, and other weird stuff (it's a wonder they didn't ask for our blood type, too). Many residents refused to provide this invasive and unnecessary info, because the request was TOTALLY BOGUS. Well, management is BACK AT IT.
We want members of the tenants association to know that you do NOT NEED TO USE THEIR COERCEIVE ONLINE SYSTEM! YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO FILL OUT THEIR BOGUS SURVEY.
Meanwhile, our GARAGE IS INVADED BY CRACKHEAD VAGRANTS, the ELEVATORS CONSTANTLY BREAK, RESIDENTS REPORT INSECT AND MOUSE INFESTATIONS, and management is... concerned with TOWING OURS CARS!?!!?!??!?!
And they KNOW THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY BREAK-INS BUT REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSBILITY FOR SECURING THIS COMPLEX -- IT IS PURE NEGLIGENCE!
So listen up, Avenue5 Residential, 5550 Hollywood Management, and Grubb Properties, instead of THREATENING RESIDENTS, take SOME RESPONSBILITY, FOR ONCE, for the SAFETY AND SECURITY of this building.
Tell Avenue5 Residential, the managers of The Fifty-Five Fifty, to STOP threatening residents, AND FOCUS ON THE CRACKHEADS!

This apparent act of retaliation occurred only short hours after the tenant informed the management that he is a PROTECTED WITNESS in a criminal case, in which management is suspected of having committed a serious -- potentially deadly crime.
We're still learning more about this viscous incident, and we'll keep you apprised.
